Wolsey-Wessington takes on JVC in District game

The Wolsey Wessington Lady Warbirds took on James Valley Christian Lady Vikings, last Thursday in a match for the second round of districts. The Lady Warbirds came out strong but ended up falling short in a three game match, scoring 20-25, 14-25, 25-27. They finished out there season with a record of 12-12.

The Warbird stats are as follows: Team Serving 50/57, Leaders were Megan Eggleston with 11/11 with one ace, Brittany Bergquist was 10/11 with one ace, and Brittney Zerfoss with 6/6. Team Attack 80/93 with 20 kills, Leaders were Sydney Tschetter with 27/33 with eight kills, Brittney Zerfoss had 15/15 with three kills, and Megan Eggleston came out with 14/15 with one kill.

Setting was 72/72 with 14 assists and leaders were Monica Hentzi with 40/40 and 9 assists and Ashley Eggleston with 14/14 with three assists. Ten blocks were recorded and were given by Sydney Tschetter with 9 and Brittany Bergquist with 1.

Forty-Two Digs were also recorded with the leaders being Monica Hentzi with 9 and Lexi McGillvrey with 7.
