West Hand Baby Beef
The West Hand Baby 4-H Club met on July 14, 2013 at the Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. Fourteen members attended the meeting. Haley Schnathorst led the flag pledge. The roll call topic was worst or best thing that happened this summer. The secretary’s report was given. Brooke Fawcett made a motion to approve the secretary report. Karli Keck seconded the motion. Taya Pawlowski made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report and Garrett Neyens seconded the motion. The audit has been completed.
Work days on the bathroom and lunch stand project are being scheduled. Saturday, July 20, the general work day is from 9-12. Thursday, July 18 will be a bathroom work day from 9 a.m. to whenever it is done.
Old business was county-level public presentations and fashion revue will be held on July 10 and the special foods contest will be July 18. New business was that Relay for Life has asked for help filling the luminary bags at 3 p.m. on August 4. Work assignments for Achievement Days will be coming out soon. Turn in project list to the extension office by July 19. Our camping cookout is July 28. Teanna Pawlowski made a motion to have the 4-H club provide the buns and Karli Keck seconded the motion. Clayton Keck made a motion to buy hot dogs and hamburgers and Garrett Neyens seconded it. Shotgun starts Thursday night at 7 p.m.
The next meeting is Achievement Days. Haley Schnathorst made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Sydney Jessen seconded. The 4-H pledge was led by Tia Pawlowski. Sami Rogers gave a demonstration on how to make peanut butter snowballs.
