Weather features wind

The weather this past week has been one that was cold, very windy, snow, blizzard conditions and warm. There isn’t much more that we can have. It was into the below zero some of the mornings and up to about 50 on Sunday. Thursday the winds were into the upper 40 to 50’s MPH. With that we also got a few snow squalls that made the visibility down to zero. We couldn’t even see across the street. The temperature was also cold at the time with the wind that strong. We again had strong wind on Friday night into Saturday morning.

Sympathy is extended to the Schock family members on the passing away of their mother, Lillian Schock. last week. Her funeral was this past Saturday, and many of the community attended the funeral. Lillian had been a long time member of the community.

Delton and Carole Beck attended the Farm and Home show on Friday and Saturday in Miller Delton attended the basketball game in Miller on Saturday morning. Trevor Parmely was a player in the game.

Delton Beck attended the memorial service for Joann Kellogg on Friday evening.

My three year old son and I were sitting on the back porch of my parents’ house when it started to rain. The wind started to pick up, too, so we headed inside. A few minutes later, the power went out, and my son said, “OH, NO, the house needs NEW batteries!!”

If there is anything that you would like to have put in the paper you can call me and I will put it in. I had several people tell me that they enjoy reading the news and would like to see more of the activities of the people that are around here. These are people that live away from here and would like to see more news. They say that they like to try to keep in touch with the people that still live here.
