The weather this past week was winter all the way through. We started out with snow on Saturday and Sunday, with it adding up to between 12 and 17 inches. The roads were snow-packed and icy and there was no school on Monday. It took all day Monday to get plowed out so they could have school on Tuesday. We’ve had snow many of the days during the week. Valentine’s Day was snowy and icy for the roads, also. The temperatures have risen so that the roads have cleared off well. Friday morning the roads were icy but the sun came out and the snow that fell in the morning melted in the afternoon . It snowed more on Saturday morning.

Before starting preschool summer camp, I was trying to teach my three-year-old to dress himself, when I noticed that he’d put his left shoe on his right foot and his right shoe on his left foot. “Oh, sweetie,” I said, “You have your shoes on the wrong feet.” My son looked down and then back up to me and said, “No, these are my feet!”
