Warbirds blast Iroquois Chiefs 73-8

The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds picked up a 281 Conference win as they defeated the Iroquois Chiefs, 73-8, December 8 at Iroquois. The Chiefs just couldn’t get any offense going as they were held scoreless until the third quarter.

The Warbirds ‘ bench  saw lots of action and controlled the ball on both ends of the  court. There were three Warbirds in double figures.  Lorenzo Williams put in 16 counters, Hayden Hooks, 15 and Alex Babcock got 14.



Ryan Sprecher and Ryne Johnson both had eight. Randy Neuharth put in six and Cole McGehee, Jevin Scott and Hunter Johnson all had two.

Hooks pulled down seven boards and Sprecher had six. Williams led the assist column with five and  shared the steal stats with Sprecher as they each got five.

The 7th -8th Grade team got a 46-19 victory over the Chiefs. Dylan Hine and Carter Mehling were in double figures with 12 and 10 points respectively. Darin Ogunjemilusi had eight. Austin Kemnitz and Tyler Babcock both had four. Tanner Zemlicka, Zane Wuestewald, Jayden Kahre and John Morgan all had two.

Wuestewald had a game high nine rebounds. Zemlicka led the assist column with three and Kemnitz was credited with three steals.
