The Miller Police Department has issued the following statement:
During the early morning hours on Saturday, April 20, the Miller Police Department received a report of a young man dressed in a black jacket with a black stocking cap knocking on doors.
The man was located and taken to Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
Through further investigation, this man was arrested as a suspect in the burglary of Turtle Creek Saloon, stealing a car, vehicle burglary, driving while intoxicated, intentional damage to property, vehicle trespass and underage consumption.
The suspect is Christopher Dschaak, a 19-year-old white male from Huron. He was transported to, and was held in, the Faulk County Jail.
Any citizen who may have had contact with this person between the hours of 10 p.m. on Friday, April 19, and 5 a.m. Saturday, April 20, is asked to contact the Miller Police Department at 853-2400 and describe your contact with this man.
