MHS Homecoming week gets underway September 9

Miller’s Homecoming Week activities get underway Monday, Sept. 9, culminating in the Homecoming football game Friday, Sept. 13.

Each day of the week will have a dress-up theme. Monday’s theme is “Animal Day,” Tuesday is “White Out Day,” Wednesday is “Holiday Day,” Thursday is “Duck Dynasty Day,” and Friday is “Rustler Day.”

Monday, Sept. 9 will feature the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen at 7 p.m. in the Miller Armory.

This year there will be no Rustler Olympics during the school day. This will be incorporated into the coronation and the pep rally.

Friday-Rustler Day-will feature the Homecoming parade. The theme will be a “Jungle” theme, “Let’s take a wild ride on the Rustler Side.” The parade gets underway at 2 p.m.

Following the parade, a tailgate supper sponsored by the Miller Kiwanis will be set up at the football field, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Miller Rustlers take on the Corsica/Stickney Comets at 7 p.m.
