Swimmer spotlight is a way for the Miller Swim Club to recognize all of the hard work and dedication the swimmers have put in over the season and continue to put in throughout the summer.
This week’s swimmer is Trey Waldrop. He is the son of Bob and Tammi Waldrop and has been on the Miller Swim Club for six years. His favorite race is the 800-meter freestyle.
Trey’s favorite swim team memory is when he swam his 800-freestyle at the state swim meet last year.
Said coach Amanda Taylor, “I have chosen Trey for this week’s swimmer spotlight because he has shown the drive and hard work needed to be a very successful summer competitive swimmer, not only in meets but practice as well. Trey has qualified for the State Swim Meet in many events, including the following freestyle events: the 800, 400, 200, 100 and the 50. This year Trey has stepped up as one of our leaders and it is showing a positive impact not only for him but for our team as well. I would like to congratulate Trey on his great work so far this season and I am so excited to see what else he can do!”
