Swimmer Spotlight is a way for the Miller Swim Club to recognize all of the hard work and dedication the swimmers have put in over the season and continue to put in throughout the summer.
This week’s swimmer is eighteen-year-old Jordan Houdek. He is the son of Rob and Diane Houdek. Jordan is from Highmore and joined the team this summer. He has swum competitively in the past and wanted to give it a try with the Miller Swim Club.
“The reason I have chosen Jordan for this week’s Swimmer Spotlight is because of his commitment to our team and program. Jordan comes to practice ready to work hard, no matter how early he has to get up and drive over in the morning to be on time. His willingness to get up early and work hard has definitely showed in the pool with many state qualifying times! Jordan has qualified for the state swim meet in five different events so far; those events are the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle, and the 100 and 200 breaststroke. During the week he brings a lot to our practices and pushes himself and others to continue to work hard. We are all very happy to have him on our team. Good luck, Jordan, on the rest of your season!”
