St. Lawrence Wheat Growers honored for safety performance

The Grain Elevator And Processing Society (GEAPS) recognized ten Wheat Growers locations for their performance in safety, with zero lost-time, work-related injuries or illness in 2012. The honors were announced as part of the 2012 Safety Awards during the GEAPS Exchange in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Wheat Growers locations honored were: Carpenter Agronomy, Huron Corn Receiving Facility, Huron Agronomy, Kennebec,
Redfield Elevator,
St. Lawrence,
Wheat Growers Redfield Energy,
Willow Lake,
Woonsocket
and Yale.

“Wheat Growers was one of 28 companies in the United States to be recognized by GEAPS for having had world-class performance in safety in 2012,” said Bill Spreeman, Wheat Growers Vice President, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Affairs. “This recognition is a tribute to Wheat Growers’ employees at these ten locations who took our core value of a Commitment to a Positive Safety Culture to the ultimate level.”
