Seventh/eighth grade girls take on Redfield/Doland

Miller girls’ basketball seventh graders took on Redfield/Doland Monday, December 2, 2013. Miller took the lead in the first quarter and continued it throughout the game, ending the game 19-12. Erin Moncur led the scoring for the Rustlers with eight points, followed closely by Brooke Sargent with four points. Emma Breland led the Rustlers with two free throws followed by Kylie Selting with one.

Lead scorers for the Pheasants were Trista Frost with six points and Eve Millar with one free throw, and Jazzlyn Tschetter with one free throw.

The free throw percentages for the teams were Miller 38% and the Pheasants 50%.

Rebounds were led by Moncur with eight, Sargent with three and Breland with three. Annie Keeter lead the steal with four of the eight for Miller. This takes the seventh grade Rustlers season record to 4-3.

The eighth grade Miller Rustlers also did well against Redfield/Doland winning 13-11. The Rustlers came out ahead in the first quarter and maintained that lead throughout the game. The Miller Rustlers led 2-0 at the end of the first quarter, 6-5 at the end of the half and 13-11 at the end of the game. Mackayln Frost and Karly Beckett led the scoring with four points each. Annie Keeter led the rebounding with three and Erin Moncur led the steals with four. The Pheasants Breanna Taylor led the scoring with four and Rylie Gall followed close with three points. The eighth grade girls season record stands at 3-4.
