Rustlers suffer defeat at Roncalli

The Miller Rustlers traveled to Aberdeen Saturday, Feb. 16 to take on the Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers, suffering the 57-37 defeat.

The Cavaliers took control early, leading 16-8 after the first period. The Cavaliers extended their lead to nine at 31-22 at the end of the second quarter. Aberdeen extended the lead after halftime to 12 at 44-32 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter the Cavaliers defense stifled the Rustlers allowing just five points in the quarter while scoring 13 points to make the lead 20 making the final score 57-37.

Lee Sivertsen led the Rustlers with 14 points and five rebounds. Beau Keeter netted 10 points while grabbing five rebounds. Hayden Herman netted six points grabbing five rebounds for the Rustlers. Preston Blackwell netted seven points grabbing three rebounds.

The Cavaliers were led by two players in double figures with Kory Schwan leading the way with 16 points. Dominic King added 12 points in the win for the Cavaliers.
