Head coach Tom McGough said, “I thought we ran with added confidence. We had a good week of practice. Our runners are locking in on the possibilities this season brings. I was happy with having three varsity runners (Mason, Cody and Beau) place in the top 20. It was an excellent field of competition and they, along with the others who ran varsity (Devyn, Jacob and Trey) combined in placing fourth as a team.”
McGough commented, “Over the next couple of weeks we will be able to see teams we will be competing against in the region. There will be an added understanding of where we are and what we need to do. I want our runners to have fun. Look at what lies before us as opportunities. Set the stage for the remaining season.”
McGough added, “We hope to have everyone running this coming Thursday in Chamberlain.”
