Roy Donald Price 1929-2013
Roy Donald (Don) Price, Fort Collins, Colo., died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at the age of 83.

Don was born June 27, 1929 to Ezra and Sylvia (Eaton) Price in Granite City, Ill. Don moved to Miller, S.D. at 1 ½ years old where he attended school.
Don was drafted into the United States Army in 1950. While in the Army, he spent two years in France as a heavy equipment operator. He was honorably discharged in 1953.
Don married Dorothy Sutton on August 28, 1955 in Miller, where they lived for one year. Don and Dorothy then moved to Deadwood, S.D., where Don worked in the Homestake Gold Mine for three years. Moving back to Miller, he worked building dams on the Missouri River.
In 1963, Don moved his family to Fort Collins where he worked in heating and air conditioning. In December 1994, Don retired from CSU after 16 years. In January 1995, Don and Dorothy started their adventures traveling in their motor home until 2004. For the next four years, they traveled to Texas for the winter as winter Texans.
Don was well liked. If a friend or neighbor needed help, Don was there doing everything he could. He loved water skiing, riding motorcycles, bull riding, and traveling. His final years were spent at home enjoying his family.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years Dorothy L. (Sutton) Price; two daughters, Roxann (Dean) Kamerzell of Fort Collins, Colo. and Cathy Price (Danny Latham) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one son, Dennis L. Price of Centennial, Colo. He also has seven grandsons and 12 great-grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his father Ezra Price; mother Sylvia (Eaton) Conan and stepfather Frank Conan; and his brother, Gene Price.
