Rodeo Girls to perform at BHSS & Rodeo

The Rodeo Girls will be performing at the Black Hills Stock Show Rodeo at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center January 31 through February 2.

If you like it fast and dangerous, meet Madison MacDonald and Roz Beaton…trick and roman riders extraordinaire. They have been referred to as “One of the most accomplished groups of young ladies you will see anywhere.”

Their extreme speed performances defy the law of gravity. They are a vision of equine artistry, masterfully coordinated trick and roman riding that is a tribute to the western arts. Together they perform across North America at world-renowned venues, while astonishing more than 250,000 spectators a year.

Madison at age 19 has performed across Canada and the United States. She was invited to perform at age 18 at the 2011 Wrangler National Finals and returned to perform there in 2012. She is currently attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX where she is enrolled in Business Administration.

Rae-Lynn, 23, has been trick riding for the past 15 years. She has performed across Canada and the United States. When not on the road, Rae-Lynn works on her family cattle ranch along with training and conditioning horses.

Roz has been trick riding for the past 11 years. She is a professional barrel racer that rodeos throughout Canada and the United States. When she’s not on the road she dedicates her time into training barrel racing horses.

All three women were featured in the 100th anniversary celebration for the Calgary Stampede where they completed 30 shows over a 10-day period.
