Outlaws fall 9-0 to Bankers

The Outlaws wound up on the wrong side of a 9-0 score on Thursday, Aug. 1, at Plankinton, tasting defeat at the hands of the Plankinton Bankers.

Jay Winter reached base three times in the game for Outlaws. He singled in the eighth inning.

Aaron Zeller brought the heat against Plankinton Bankers during his outing. The Bankers managed just three hits off of Zeller, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Travis Gant recorded the win for the Bankers. He pitched four shutout innings. He struck out eight, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Plankinton was sparked by Kyle Bruinsma and Ruben Earl, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.

Plankinton increased their lead with eight runs in the fifth. A steal of home scored Bruinsma for the inning’s first run.
