Miller FFA Chapter does well at district competition

INDIVIDUAL PLACERS at the District 6 FFA CDE were, l to r, Kirstyn Fiala, Tia Pawlowski and Tate Ketelhut. They will now advance to state competition.

The Miller FFA Chapter holds the District 6 FFA CDE annually at the St. Lawrence Community Church, and this year it was held November 13.

Miller had participants in the following CDE competitions: junior parliamentary procedure team; agricultural sales team; agricultural sales individual competitors; extemporaneous speaking; creed speaking; agricultural broadcasting; and prepared public speaking.

Miller’s agricultural sales team, consisting of Paul Waring, Natalee Kolda, Whyley Ruhnke and Trey Gates placed first. In the ag sales individual competition, Gates placed first, and Waring placed fourth.

Kirstyn Fiala placed first in agricultural broadcasting. In the creed speaking, Tia Pawlowski placed first, and Tate Ketelhut placed fourth.

Tia Pawlowski, Kirstyn Fiala and the entire agricultural sales team will advance to the State CDE, which will be held December 2 and 3 at Pierre.

The Greenhand parliamentary procedure team placed fourth in district competition. Kholten Werdel also participated in extemporaneous speaking, and Caitlynd Krosch participated in prepared public speaking.
