KRISTIE FIEGEN, Vice-Chairwoman of the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (PUC), visited Miller on October 24, meeting with local constituents because she said she believes it is important to secure feedback from constituents in rural South Dakota. Fiegen, running for a full six-year term on the commission this fall, expressed her concerns about federal mandates and listened to the views of voters. “It’s my honor to serve as your South Dakota Public Utilities Commissioner and to fight for what’s right for South Dakotans,” said Fiegen. The PUC oversees the utility infrastructure across South Dakota that impacts many parts of daily lives. Fiegen, left, stopped at the Helping Hands store, and visited with Doris Jury, Ida Moser and Dessie Price.
