The weather this past week was nice and into the upper 60s for the first of the week, and it cooled off the last of the days, and we had snow Wednesday night that totaled about four inches. It was quite a change–warm and then sudden cold.
The pheasant hunting for last weekend was a success for the hunters. Even if they didn’t get their total number of birds, the weather was just perfect and they really enjoyed the getting together and visiting.
Delton and Carole Beck visited and hunted with the Jeff and Margie Parmely group last Saturday and Sunday. Others present were Holly Schaefers, Clear Lake; Gene, Tammy and Jason Williams, Piedmont; Bruce and Keith Weyrich and friend Patricia, Sturgis; Jared, Laura, Noah, Jonah and Lydia Beck, Huron; and Tara Parmely, Watertown.
Many hunters have been in the area these past two weeks and there will be several more in the weeks to come.
