Miller High School seniors, Kirstyn Fiala and Austin Schaff, have been selected as local winners of the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program.
One senior male and one senior female from every participating school is selected as a School Winner. School Winners receive a School Winner Certificate and Heisman Patch.
Since 1994, the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program has honored more than 250,000 of the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors in partnership with the Heisman Memorial Trophy Committee. The leadership award-honorees are well-rounded young men and woman who excel in learning, performing, and leading in the classroom, on the field and in the community.
Like The Heisman Memorial Trophy, the Wendy’s program believes in the pursuit of athletic and academic excellence with integrity. And in addition to honoring student accomplishments, the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program inspires all future high school students to pursue their higher education goals.
Every year, the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program and The Heisman Memorial Trophy team up to recognize the nation’s most admired high school seniors. The culmination of this process takes place in December in conjunction with the National Heisman Memorial Trophy presentation during Heisman Weekend in New York City. It’s here where Wendy’s selects its National High School Heisman Winners during a broadcast on ESPN networks. This partnership ensures that high school winners enjoy the prestige of national recognition for their tremendous achievements.
