Harriet A. Sisk 1933-2013

Harriet A. Sisk, 79, of Miller, S.D., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at the Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held per her request. Friends and family may sign Harriet’s online register at www.remboldfuneralhome.com.

Harriet was born to Carl and Elsie (Engelmann) Winsell on December 16, 1933, and was raised at Spring Lake in South Hand County. Harriet graduated from Miller High School in 1951 and St. John’s School of Nursing in 1954. She worked clinic nursing jobs and gave superb care to many family members in their times of illness.

Harriet, and daughter Russ Ann, married Clayton “Tip” Sisk February 17, 1962; daughter Carla Marie was born in 1964. Harriet’s dazzling smile and sense for fun created fabulous memories for family and friends. Recounting a story or two was part of her persona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Carl; husband Tip; brother Rick Winsell; and sister Phyllis Resel.

Memorials may be directed to the Miller Fire Department, Northern Plains Hospice Miller Site, or your choice.

Rembold Funeral Home of St. Lawrence has been entrusted with Harriet’s arrangements.
