Friendship Center to be closed Memorial Day Friendship Center 5-22-13

This week the news will be shorter because I only have one pool news write-up. On Monday, May 13 the players were Charles Droz, George Mogle and Jim DeGeest.

Tuesday, May 14, Charles Droz, Warren Skinner, Duane Robison, Bob Lowther and Merv Mewes were on deck for the games. “The wind was kicking up a gale, outside, and the Eight-ball boys were shooting the eyes out of pool balls inside the Center. Droz and Skinner ran a 5-game, 4-game edge over Robison and Mewes by lunch time. It was a new player that took Mewes’ place when he left, and it was Lowther. He played well, because he sat and watched the other nine games. He knew how to handle the other three players. Lowther and Droz now took on Robison and Skinner. Three more games were played, and they played mightily, they were overcome by a pool player’s lament of, if the darn ball won’t go in, you can’t win the game! Robinson and Skinner also won the M.S.C.P.P. Championship. Come play us! We want competition!
