After missing the last two deadlines I hope to be back on track this week. There hasn’t been news from the pool-snooker players over the holidays; however, the “guys “have been here shooting the defenseless colored balls each weekday.
Players on January 5 were Dr. Jim DeGeest, Joe Oligmueller, Warren Skinner and Russ Winther of Colorado, who has been here visiting friends. The fellows played hard and by lunchtime Russ and Skinner had managed two wins. Dr. Jim and Joe had four wins. They were really “hungry!!” After lunch, Russ and Warren won one and then also won the “PP” championship five to three. There were some great shots on both sides. “By the ‘shades of Don Soper’ we made some unbelievable shots! Bring on your best, we were PDG (pretty darn good).

Next week, the teams will be playing with a new format, contact any of the players and see what we can fit in.
Marvin VanDerWerff and Charlotte Evans were playing Thursday, also. Marvin got a “pro-stick” from Minnesota Fats for Christmas!! His brother gave it to him. So look out, Charlotte!
