A five-day jail sentence was suspended on the following conditions: pay fines, costs and any restitution as ordered; county shall have lien against defendant at the rate of $25.00 per day for jail confinement.

Carrera Marie Hall, Huron, SD, pled guilty to driving with a suspended license. She was fined $84.00, plus $66.00 in court costs. License was suspended for 30 days. A five-day jail sentence was suspended on the following conditions: pay fines, costs and any restitution as ordered; defendant shall obey all laws of the state, local and federal governments for 360 days.

Mark James Nolz, Watertown, SD, pled guilty to a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor. He was fined $84.00, plus $66.00 in court costs. A five-day jail sentence was suspended on the following conditions: pay fines, costs and any restitution as ordered; defendant shall obey all laws of the state, local and federal governments for one year.

Michael J. Wangsness, Miller, SD, pled guilty to several charges. He pled guilty to five charges of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined $250.00, plus total court costs of $330.00 on those charges, and sentenced to five days in jail. On a charge of possession of two ounces of marijuana of less, Wangsness was fined $600.00 plus $84.00 in court costs and sentenced to 30 days’ jail time. On the charge of ingesting an intoxicant other than alcoholic beverage, he was fined $84.00 in court costs.

The total sentence of 35 days in jail was suspended on the following conditions: the county shall have a lien at the rate of $25.00 per day for any jail time served; the defendant will pay fines, costs and any restitution as ordered; the defendant shall obey all laws of the state, local and federal governments for 360 days.

In a conviction at trial, Kirby VanDerWerff, Miller, SD, was found guilty of possession of alcohol by a minor. He was fined $84.00, plus $66.00 in court costs. A five-day jail sentence was suspended on the following conditions: Pay fines, costs and any restitution as ordered; county shall have a lien against defendant at the rate of $25.00 per day for jail confinement; obey all laws of the state, local and federal government for six months.
