Christopher Kaufmann, St. Lawrence, SD, pled guilty to driving with a suspended license. He was fined $84.00, plus $40.00 in court costs and $26.00 in surcharges. His driver license was suspended for 30 days. A two-day jail sentence was suspended on condition the defendant pay fines and costs as ordered.

Bert Lafferty III, Harrold, SD, pled guilty to a charge of failure to maintain financial responsibility. He was fined $184.00, plus court costs of $40.00, and $26.00 in surcharges. His driver license was suspended for 30 days. A five-day jail sentence was suspended on the following conditions: pay fine and costs as ordered; obey all laws of the state, local and federal governments for 360 days. The county shall have a lien against the defendant at the rate of $25.00 per day for any jail time served.

Gerald G. Kopecky, Orient, SD, pled guilty to a charge of driving under the influence, first offense. He was fined $600.00, court costs of $135.00, and surcharges of $44.00. License was revoked for 30 days. A 10-day jail sentence was suspended on the following conditions: attend DUI classes; pay fine and costs as ordered; not drink alcohol for 30 days; obey all laws of the state, local and federal governments, and if questioned or arrested by law enforcement, the defendant will immediately advise the assigned court services officer. The county shall have a lien against the defendant at the rate of $25.00 per day for any time served.
