The Campbell-Yost reunion was held June 24 at the Miller Fire Hall, hosted by Richard and Ardessa Moser and the Dale and Susan Hargens families.
Forty-nine persons were in attendance. Out-of-state attendees were Dan and Deanna Bartkowski, California; Jeff Moser and Mary Jo, Bethany and Alex Koschel, Colorado; JoAnne and Jeremiah Ledford, Illinois; and Lenore Yost and Helen Holston, Kansas.
A short meeting was conducted, with Jeff Moser and Andrea Evans as emcees. It was decided to meet June 23, 2013. Nichole Yost and Andrea Evans volunteered to host that reunion.
Five great-grandchildren of Lawrence and Beverly Yost sang two songs.
Families introduced themselves, including a set of twins, Isabelle and Quinn Hurd, great-grandchildren of Lawrence and Beverly Yost.
Bethany and Alex Koschel, great-granddaughters of Hazel Campbell Yost, read the poem, “The Mountain Lure,” written by great-great-grandmother, Sarah Yost.
Clayton and Karen Johnson’s granddaughters, Jennifer, Kelly, Kimberly and Kaitlyn, performed a dance.
Prizes were awarded: Traveled farthest – Dan and Deanna Bartkowski; oldest man – Robert Meyer; oldest woman – Helen Holston; youngest – Isabelle and Quinn Hurd; longest married couple – Lawrence and Beverly Yost; shortest hair – Andrea Evans; most children in attendance – Jonathan and Ashley Hurd.
Jeff Moser read a poem, “Cousins,” and a potluck dinner was held.
