Bandits place fifth in Miller Invite

Bandits place fifth in Miller Invite

The Miller/Highmore Harrold Bandits placed fifth as the host team in the Miller invitational wrestling tournament held in Miller on Saturday, Jan. 5.

The Bandits were able to place seven of 10 wrestlers in the top four at their respective weight class. The Bandits came away with two first-place finishes, three second-place finishes and two fourth-place finishes.

In the 106-pound division, JC Forman finished with a second-place finish. In the 120-pound division, Michael Weidenbach also finished with a runner-up performance. In the 126-pound division Glenn Aymar finished with a record of 0-2 wrestling unattached, while Tristan Ashdown placed fourth. In the 138-pound division Jaxson Brueggeman finished in fourth place. Paul Waring was crowned the champion of the 145-pound division. Devon Gnat dropped his first match of the year in the championship match of the 152-pound division to place second, after reeling off 13 straight victories to open the year. Tre Blasdell was crowned champion at 182 pounds. Austin Aalbers was 0-2 in the 195-pound division, with Marshall Johnson garnering a 1-2 record in the 220-pound class.
