Bandits have strong showing at Tri-Valley invite

The Miller Highmore Harrold Bandits placed sixth in the Tri-Valley invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday, Jan. 12, scoring 139 team points.

The Bandits were able to place six wrestlers in the top four of their respective divisions, including two champions, two third-place finishers and two fourth-place finishers. JC Forman was crowned champion of the 106-pound weight class with a record of 3-0. Michael Weidenbach was crowned champion at 120 pounds, also with a record of 3-0. Tristan Ashdown competed in the 126-pound weight class, falling short of the podium with a 1-2 record. Glenn Aymar also fell just short of the podium with a record of 1-2 in the 132-pound weight class. Jaxson Brueggeman found the podium in fourth place with a record of 3-2 in the 138-pound weight class. Paul Waring found himself on the podium also in fourth place with a record of 2-2 at 145 pounds. Devon Gnat and Tre Blasdell each were crowned consolation champions at 152 and 182 pounds, with records of 5-1 and 3-1 respectively. Austin Aalbers and Marshall Johnson finished with records of 1-2 at 195 and 220 pounds respectively.

THE BANDITS’ Tre Blasdell controls his opponent Dillan Rouzer from Garretson in the final round of the Tri-Valley invitational. Blasdell defeated Rouzer 6-1.
