All invited to Vet Day potluck Sunday

The Abernathy American Legion Auxiliary is honoring area veterans on Veterans’ Day with a potluck dinner and program at the Gann Valley Fire Hall on Sunday, Nov. 11, at noon. Everyone is invited.  Drinks and tableware will be provided for the potluck dinner.

Henry Joe Sinkie, Hill City, visited in the Juanita Sinkie home by Gann Valley and with Ralph and Connie Timmerman at their home in Wessington Springs. Joe also attended a bowling tournament where Matthew Marvig of Waubay was a contestant.

Gene and Carol Grabin visited Patrick and Jennifer Cuka at their home near Sioux Falls. Gene helped with Gunnar’s Halloween party at the Humboldt School while Carol visited with Vivienn and Jennifer attended Sophie’s Halloween party at Hartford.

Judy Gaulke visited Twila Whitehead at her home Friday.

Thursday, Carol Grabin visited Jim and Belle Hinrichs at their home in Woonsocket.

David and Judy Gaulke joined John and Pam Niles, Plankinton, for supper at a café in Mitchell.  Afterwards they returned to the Niles home for a visit.

Evelyn Wulff accompanied Ken and Elaine Wulff to the prayer services for Pearl Krog Sunday evening in Wessington Springs. Dick and Pearl were residents of Buffalo County for many years.

Shannon Speck and boys, St. Lawrence, visited in the Ellen Speck home Sunday.

Kevin Wulff and Rick Wooledge visited and did some work at the Ken and Elaine Wulff home over the weekend.

Had a sprinkle of rain on Sunday, which didn’t amount to much. It has been cloudy for about a week.
